Beginner Patchwork and Quilting One Day Workshop

Is this workshop for me?

Anyone who has experience sewing with a machine can make this quilted cushion.

When is the workshop?

Saturday 26th October 2024, 9:30-4

What will I learn?

You will learn the basics of patchwork and quilting including how to cut fabric for patchwork, get an accurate patchwork seam allowance, layer up a quilt sandwich and quilt it. The quilted block will be turned into a cushion with envelope back.

What do I need to bring to the workshop?

You will need:

• your own sewing machine (in good working order) and manual
• a travel iron and ironing mat will be useful
• your sewing kit - scissors, thread, bobbins etc
• your lunch (tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided throughout the day)

How much is the workshop?

It is £60 for the day including materials

What materials are included?

Enough fabric to make the quilt block and envelope back

Wadding and backing fabric

20" cushion pad
