This course is for you!

These monthly three-hour sessions are perfect for individuals who have a busy schedule but still want to indulge in a creative pursuit for themselves. Whether you're a beginner quilter or have some quilting experience, this course caters to all skill levels.

In relaxed and supportive classes, you'll learn how to make a quilt from start to finish while becoming acquainted with your quilting equipment and sewing machine. Perhaps you've invested in the necessary tools but haven't had the opportunity to explore their full potential—this is your chance to unlock their capabilities and unleash your creativity.

When do we meet?

The second Tuesday of every month from February 2024, 1.00pm - 4.00pm (see below)

Our Tuesday sessions provide an ideal opportunity to dive into the world of quilting at a leisurely pace. Led by Zoe, an experienced teacher, you will be guided through the entire quilting process, ensuring you gain a solid understanding of the techniques and skills required to create beautiful quilts.

How much is the course?

The course is £180 for 12 months, just £15 a month*. 

What equilpment do I need to start the course?

Your own sewing machine, in good working order

Your fabric

A 45mm rotary cutter

A quilting ruler

A cutting mat

There will be a few other things, but not till later in the course.

April 9th - focus: choosing sashing, block 3

May 14th - focus: get quilting, block 4

June 11th - focus: troubleshooting, block 5 (third Saturday)

July 9th - focus: FMQ, block 6

August 13th - focus: bias tape, block 7

September 10th - focus: appliqué, block 8

October 8th - focus: joining the blocks, block 9

November 12th - focus: adding the borders

December 10th - focus: quilting the borders

January 14th - focus: binding the quilt
