I love this variation of a Log Cabin! This look is created by using different width strips on either side of the centre square.
Like with the Log Cabin, you start with a square and add the strips in rounds but this time the strips are narrower on one side meaning the 'centre' is not in the middle.
There are many more different looks you can achieve by changing the width of some of the strips. And even more by rotating the repeating blocks in a quilt.
All of the quilts in the images above can be made using twenty-four of the same Off Centre Log Cabin block just rotated in different directions.
Has the Off Centre Log Cabin block inspired you to create? Let us know in the comments.
Happy Stitching!
